Amount: $8,500

Description: For students transferring as Sophmores or Juniors to SFAI from OCC in Fall-10. Each year the San Francisco Art Institute selects a few outstanding studnets from exemplary California Community College art and photography programs, with the hope and expectation they will become strong contributors to their departments at SFAI. The students transfer to the Art Institue as juniors. The award is also renewed for their senior year.

Criteria:

• Must complete SFAI Application by June 1
• Must have minimum 3.25 cumulative OCC GPA.
• Must have minimum 15 units of liberal arts study, including at least one English class.
• Must Turn in SFAI - Community College Partnership Scholarship Application (if you already have it) with your portfolio for our judging.
• Complete FAFSA (OCC Financial Aid Office or online). This is optional but highly recommended.
• SFAI has other scholarships ($10,000 - $12,500), but the deadline for these are February 15th. Call them directly to inquire about an extension.
